Знакомство с Иннополисом

During my exchange program I have been studying Machine Learning, High Dimensional Data Analysis, Ensuring Quality in Software Projects, Game Theory and Introduction to Practical Artificial Intelligence. The study process was similar to the one in my home university, with the main difference being the presence of laboratory classes in every course. Therefore, after each theoretical class we had the opportunity to reinforce what we had learnt by putting our knowledge into practice. Moreover, weekly assignments provided a way to expand the content from the lectures. All in all, the process consists mostly of balancing the lectures, labs and assignments, which can be achieved through efficient time management and dedication.

Each course had a different type of examination. Some consisted of answering traditional questions, others were the development of a project and some even involved oral exams. The results were mainly positive.

Me and other exchange students stayed at the university dorm. Living in a dorm was a completely new experience for me. The best part of it were my great roommates, who became my best friends during my stay here. I also really enjoyed how clean, new and spacious the dorms are. The only thing I would improve is the size of the cooktop, which made it difficult to prepare complex meals with more than two parallel steps.

My impressions of Russia are largely positive! Everyone was really receptive and interested in my origins and home country, and was willing to help me whenever I needed. I also enjoyed the nature around Innopolis, and how beautiful it looks when covered in snow. Finally, Innopolis feels very safe and like a close community.
